Pilot Program for Food Processing Workers


KEY FEATURES AND ELIGIBILITY

  • Targets workers in occupations like industrial butchers, food processing laborers, and specialized cleaners.

  • Requires at least 24 months of work experience in the last 3 years.

  • Hold a job in Quebec in an eligible food processing occupation for at least the next 12 months.

  • Have at least 24 months of work experience in the last 36 months in food or beverage manufacturing.

  • Possess a diploma equivalent to a Quebec high school diploma or vocational diploma.

  • Demonstrate intermediate oral French proficiency (level 7 on the Quebec scale).


Pilot Program for Orderlies

This pilot aims to attract orderlies, nurses' aides, and patient service associates to work in Quebec's healthcare sector. 


KEY FEATURES AND ELIGIBILITY

  • The program offers two streams:

    • work stream 

    • studies-work stream

  • Targets workers in NOC 3413 occupations like orderlies and patient service associates.

  • Requires a relevant diploma, 24 months of work experience (12 months in Quebec), and intermediate French proficiency.


To be eligible through the work stream, applicants must:

  • Hold a diploma related to NOC 3413 work, equivalent to a Quebec vocational diploma.

  • Have at least 24 months of full-time experience in NOC 3413 in the last 36 months, with at least 12 months in Quebec.

  • Demonstrate intermediate oral French proficiency.


The studies-work stream requires:

  • A Quebec vocational diploma in a relevant NOC 3413 field obtained in the last 2 years.

  • At least 12 months of NOC 3413 work experience in Quebec after completing the diploma.


Pilot Program for Workers in AI, IT and Visual Effects

This pilot program has two streams - one for artificial intelligence and another for information technologies and visual effects. It targets temporary foreign workers and recent graduates with in-demand skills in these sectors.


KEY FEATURES AND ELIGIBILITY

  • Accepting up to 550 candidates per year, not including family members.

  • Covers occupations like computer programmers, software engineers, and graphic designers in visual effects.

  • Requires a bachelor's degree, relevant work experience, and a high salary or recent graduation from a Quebec university.


The AI stream has two profiles:

  • Foreign workers must have a bachelor's degree, 24 months of NOC TEER 0, 1, 2 and 3  work experience in the last 5 years, and a job paying at least $75,000 outside Montreal or $100,000 in Montreal.

  • Quebec graduates must have a specialized graduate diploma, master's or doctoral degree obtained in Quebec in the last 2 years, and have lived in Quebec for at least half of their studies.

  • The IT/VFX stream has similar requirements for foreign workers and Quebec graduates.
