A start-up deposit of at least $50,000 if the self-employed candidate is based in the metropolitan area of Montreal, and $25,000 if located outside of Montreal.
Demonstrate the ability to support themselves and their family through a contract of financial self-sufficiency.
Score a passing mark on the Quebec Economic Class selection grid. Meet the passing score up to 99 points for single applicant, or 112 points if accompanied by a spouse or common-law partner.
