WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
The Quebec Experience Program (PEQ) is a fast-track immigration pathway for international students who have studied in Quebec and temporary foreign workers with experience in the province. It offers a simplified process to apply for permanent residence from within Quebec. Applicants must meet all eligibility criteria and demonstrate their intention to settle in Quebec. The PEQ has two main streams:
PEQ for Students
Have completed a diploma of vocational studies (DEP), diploma of college studies (DEC), bachelor's, master's or doctorate degree in French.
Studied full-time in Quebec for at least half the duration of your program.
Have 12-18 months of relevant full-time work experience in Quebec after graduation.
Demonstrate advanced intermediate proficiency in French.
PEQ for Temporary Foreign Workers
Held a full-time job at NOC skill level TEER 0, TEER 1, TEER 2, and TEER 3 for at least 24 of the previous 36 months.
Demonstrate advanced intermediate proficiency in French.
Intention to settle and work in Quebec.
Be legally in Quebec as a temporary foreign worker.
